Police storm Warsaw hotel room, free three captive Jewish teens

Police broke into a room at the Holiday Inn hotel in Warsaw Monday and freed three Jewish teenagers briefly held captive by a 23-year-old man, local police said. Police spokesman Mariusz Sokolowski said police had found no explosives, and identified the three captives, who were unharmed, as Israelis. But Israeli media reports said the youths may be Brazilians or North Americans, and that they had taken part in the March of the Living last week.The reports also indicated that the assailant was an Arab, but local police did not identify the man. Sokolowski said police detained the man and evacuated the hotel while a routine search was being carried out. Police have not identified the man they detained Monday.
