Abducted Canadian reporter says she was held in Afghan cave for 4 weeks

A female Canadian journalist who was freed after four weeks in captivity in Afghanistan said she was held in a small underground cave that she could barely stand in. Mellissa Fung, a reporter for the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., told Afghanistan's intelligence chief in video released Sunday that her captors watched guard over her in the tiny cave for the first three weeks of her abduction. Fung said that in the last week of captivity captors chained her hands and feet and she was left by herself. Fung said her captors never hurt her but that she was kept blindfolded. She was released on Saturday. In the video, Fung can be seen telling Canada's ambassador that she's not hurt and that she hopes people won't make "a big fuss."(10,42)
